Really? This is honestly unexpected to me. I'd guess that it would get better rather than worse. Who really knows, though? We can just wait and see.

I agree the figures here are scary - the U.S. recession is definitely still upon us - but I’m not sure they account for all the new jobs that will be replacing those which were lost. While I totally understand this problem - my husband was out of work for the entire year of 2014, and my son recently had to look for six months for employment, I think there will be plenty of jobs for people who have the right qualifications. It seems that there are jobs going wanting in the STEM fields, and many employers are not able to find people to fill their needs. I think this article is a good one in the sense that it points out how the recession is changing job opportunities, but I believe people must adapt to these changes or be left behind.
