If the Bush tax cuts expire on those earning less than $250k/yr, which they are set to on Jan. 1st, there will be a very serious hit to the economy. You can set your watch to that.

And that $700 billion tax loss to the One Percenters is gonna bury us in the long term. But I suspect The Republic is screwed no matter how it gets sliced.
