Deepwater Horizon survivors allege they were kept in seclusion after rig explosion, coerced into signing legal waivers

I would say "there oughta be a law," but there already is one: it's illegal to kidnap someone.

So far as I know, kidnapping is a capital offense. I want to know why the kidnappers and their bosses are not all in jail without bail awaiting trial.

I'm not surprised - I worked for *BIG oil company* in the 80's and more than once when an accident happened... the lawyers were there before medical help... not really, but they would show up at the victims' homes & try to get them to sign off on a settlement before knowing details.
