Always remember, Collateralized Debt Obligations required a federal enabling law that preempted state anti-gambling laws.

Sorry, I meant credit default swaps. The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 preempted state anti-gambling laws. Here's one source.

it's not really crashing, just stalling after a bear rally. option buyers always get shafted one way or the other, that's what the hedgies do to protect their equity.
