retail therapy or: why is everything in my wardrobe black, blue, or brown?

Sep 26, 2009 20:30

So today I went shopping because nothing and I do mean nothing fits me from last year. I really hate shopping, especially for clothes, because nothing ever fits me. No matter what I weigh, i still have no boobs and a big-ish butt, no hips but a bit of a belly, so everything is always too big in one area and too small in another. But three hours and ( Read more... )

Lol at the color scheme dilemma. If I don't watch what colors I'm buying, I end up with everything brown, olive green, or black. I do not have your scarf excuse...those are just the colors I like (and everything goes with black). I think I'm doing better this season though - I made an effort to buy a few blue and red/maroon shirts and sweaters.

lol yeah the scarf excuse is pretty convenient isn't it? and I agree, it's hard to go wrong with black. good for you for buying some different colored sweaters. lol

Sounds like a nice Saturday afternoon. What are earth shoes?

Earth shoes are made so the heels are lower than the toes. this gives the foot a lot of support especially in the arches. I'm prone to having pain in my feet if i'm on them for a long time, and most shoes give me blisters. but earth shoes are amazing and i can walk in them for hours.

wow I never heard of them. I sometimes have foot pains if I dance or perform for a few days in a row, but that is just part of my life. Maybe I will check them out.

yay for new clothes. I always have similar issues with things being too small in one area and too big in another - mostly I get that weird gap in the back of a lot of jeans... sigh.

Anyway, glad to hear you are coming back to the cities - when do you start back to Gap or what is the situation there?

Jo loves Blue Moon beer. I have yet to try a beer I actually like. But I love pumpkin flavored things. So I think we will have to try that one. :)

omg i totally know what you mean about the big crack in the back of jeans. happens to me all the time. LOL
i start back at GAP next Monday the 5th. i'm very lucky to have a job there; i'm not sure if another school would have let me take a month leave.
I don't care for beer either, and unfortunately, the pumpkin one didn't tast pumpkiny to me at all. you'll have to try it and let me know what you think. I always felt like i was letting dykedom down by not liking beer. lol
