Summary: Chuck finds Casey's DVD collection.

When the General had told Chuck that he would be relocated to a new apartment and have Casey as a roommate (Sarah having gone on sabbatical) he wasn’t very eager, but knew that it was probably best.

His Dad had moved into his old room at Ellie’s, which was nice for all of them and the government had put an elderly couple in Casey’s old house - although they weren’t actually couple and were ex army officers, brought out of retirement to serve their country - they had been told the bare facts about Stephen, knew nothing of Chuck being the Intersect or that he was rooming with a Colonel.

Casey found it hilarious that these two old folks thought they were being all sneaky, when really they had been completely set up and were too damn senile to realise they were being played.

Chuck was just glad he saw the funny side to it as he had thought that he would be more than upset at having to share his personal space with ‘The Asset’.

And so, here he was, sitting on the couch in their new apartment (Casey was having a shower) and flicking through the TV channels, finding nothing interesting to watch. Sighing he got up and went over to his DVDs. He could put on Battlestar Galactica, he’d been having a weird craving for that lately, could be something to do with the arms dealer with the eye patch they arrested the other week, but he wasn’t entirely sure.

However, as nothing jumped out at him, nothing that Casey wouldn’t kill him for watching anyway, he decided to have a look at Casey’s collection and see if there was anything in there worth watching.

Now, Casey kept his DVD collection locked up tight so that people who weren’t allowed, couldn’t actually see what was in there. But Chuck knew the code. It was easy. Or at least, it was to him, but then he had a computer for a brain so it wasn’t really a surprise. And yeah sure, Casey would likely hit him for breaking in, but he could deal with that later.

However, when he opened it, it wasn’t full of war documentaries or foreign movies like he had expected (although there were a few as well as some musicals) but full to the brim with Marilyn Monroe.

Chuck couldn’t believe what he was seeing here, Casey had every single one of her movies, some of them twice as he had went out and bought the collector’s editions and left them in their plastic wrappings, not wanting to remove it and ruin them.

“What the hell are you doing?” Casey’s gruff voice snapped.

Chuck looked up at him, not even noticing that he was only wearing a pair of pyjama pants, hair still wet from the shower… okay, maybe he noticed a little bit, but he pushed that to the back of his mind, “You’re a nerd!”

“What?” Casey asked, slightly taken aback by that.

“Look, you have a collection, a collection which you clearly take good care of, I mean, you have three different versions of All About Eve, and only one of them is outside of it’s original packaging. There are only one kind of people who do something like that - nerds… well, nerds and gay guys…”

Chuck paused as a blush spread onto Casey’s face.

“Oh,” he said, feeling slightly embarrassed.

“Whatever,” Casey said, pushing forward and snapping the case shut, “Stay out of my stuff.”

“Sorry I just, I was looking for a movie to watch,” Chuck explained as he stepped back, “I didn’t mean to… out you.”

Casey sighed, “Just leave it Chuck.”

Chuck bit his bottom lip, “We could watch Some Like It Hot if you want, you know, cheer you up.”

Casey turned to look at him, “I’m going to bed,” he said quietly, “Watch what you want.”

Chuck watched, completely flabbergasted as Casey stormed into his bedroom and slammed the door shut.

Casey was gay? Casey was actually gay? Well, actually, he hadn’t admitted that. But he hadn’t denied it either… this changed everything.

~*~*~*~*~*~

The next week or so passed with relative calmness. They only had one job to do and it only took a couple of days, leaving them both at a loose end with what to do with themselves.

Casey spent a lot of time down in the Castle working out and Chuck spent a lot of time in the Orange Orange, cringing every time one of the guys from the Buy More walked in to order something. He just had to keep reminding himself that he was on the government payroll now and so if he wanted to keep that money then he would have to grin and bare it.

Didn’t mean he didn’t want to be down in the Castle too though. He was worried about Casey. Sure, it wasn’t like the guy was the most cheeriest of people, but he had hardly cracked a smile all week, hadn’t even spoke to Chuck unless it was something to do with work. He was never like that, he usually always had something to say to him, whether it be a snarky remark or an order of some sort (lately those were related to housework) and so yeah, Chuck was worried.

So that night, when he got home from the Orange Orange, he called out for food before going and making sure that the apartment was completely spotless - he even cleaned the bathroom.

Casey didn’t get back until around eight in the evening. Chuck didn’t bother asking where he’d been, he’d probably just been catching up on paperwork or cleaning guns, anything to put off having to be here, with him.

“Hey,” Chuck said when he came in.

Casey nodded at him before sniffing the air, “You cooking something?”

“Me cook?” Chuck asked, “God no. I just called out for some Chinese. It’s in the oven staying warm, thought I’d wait til you got back before I ate.”

“Oh, thanks,” Casey said before going and dumping his gear in his bedroom, “I’m gonna take a quick shower first.”

“Sure,” Chuck nodded, not really knowing what else to say.

He didn’t have to wait long though before Casey was back and they were sat at their little table in the corner of the living room, eating in silence. Chuck didn’t want to force conversation, he knew how much Casey hated it when he did that, but it was just killing him. He was beginning to get really paranoid and he couldn’t contain it any longer.

”Are you leaving?” he asked.

“What?” Casey asked in surprise.

“Are you leaving?” Chuck repeated, “Like Sarah? Are you gonna leave?”

Casey sighed, “No I’m not leaving Chuck,” he told him as he put his chop sticks down, “And I don’t care that you… stuff about me, I’m surprised you didn’t flash on it sooner I just…” he trailed off not knowing how to finish his sentence.

“No one else knows do they?” Chuck asked quietly.

“No,” Casey admitted, “Know one I actually know anyway,” he explained, of course referring to the many one night stands he’d had in the past.

“You don’t need to hide it,” Chuck said, “I mean, no one’s gonna care. I certainly don’t.”

Casey raised an eyebrow at him, slightly disbelieving.

“I don’t,” Chuck said as he leaned on the table, “I mean, you’re still the biggest and baddest Colonel I’ve ever met and I really wouldn’t like to get on your bad side.”

“Chuck,” Casey said as he stood up, picking up his plates, “You’re always on my bad side.”
