This felt like a very satisfying sucker punch, if that makes any sense lol. I did not imagine this to be the tone you took, but the surprise of it made it even more delicious. I really love the way you set up some of the narration, added to the angsty undertones.

I know you said you wouldn't really add to it, but I insist you do :D
