I had a dream that I left my bike locked up somewhere all day long. I came back and the lock, wheels, and brakes were gone - but the bike was still there. It was kind of wedged up under the hump of the bike rack (that upside down U type), but I was easily able to free the bike with a little downward force ( Read more... )

The bicycle means time devoted to recreation and leisure activities. The act of stealing done by someone else to you indicates a loss of some sort or perhaps you are being treated unfairly.

My deduction: the loss of a relationship with someone whom you've spent leisure time with is on your mind.

Ciao!

Hmm, perhaps. Although I'd at least have to say that's coupled with my fear that when I leave my bike locked up all day long, someone will steal it.

Scientifically speaking, dreams have no meaning. They're randomly associated concepts.

But, just like anything else it can be a way to focus your mind and think about a topic.

Yeah, I was pretty much kidding about the meaning bit.
To me, my dreams mean my subconscious is an abstract and nonsensical place. And sometimes I'll dream about things that have been on my mind, like homework before bed or a stressful day.

I do worry in the back of myind when I leave my bike locked up somewhere. And the longer it's out there, the more I worry. However, if I was leaving it out all day, I'd probably have 2 or 3 different kinds of locks and my wheels would be locked down, and maybe even my saddle. .

Somehow, in my dream, I knew the theif had cut all of my spokes before stealing the bike. I think I may recall the hubs and rims still being on the bike at first, spokeless. And the lock was gone.
Then when I "looked" again, the wheels were gone entirely and the frame was suspended in midair, hanging from being wedged under the rack itself.
