Omg you're killing me here... *Pets Tim anxiously* What Tim is going through is so brutal and harsh and he's so right about who he can and can't call that it KILLS me, because everyone always expects Tim to handle everything, and he can't stand to let them down and... *Whimpers*

And Jason... *HUGS Jason*

Please please please say there will be more of this?

Wow, what an amazing beginning! Poor Tim, thank goodness for Jason coming through for him, both in the apartment and then again here. Can't wait to see where you take this, sweetie.

Thank you!

Jason... Oh Jay. I love that kid. He's such a tough guy... with this giant heart. There's no way he could ignore Tim.

:)

Thanks for reading, love.

OW. Jesus. You have such a way with these intense, personal details. It's really refreshing, actually. Most (fan)writers don't get into the icky, gory realities, but you dive right in, and it really brings in the reader. Even more importantly, the characters' emotional reactions to these realities, the denial, Tam's shock, Tim's horrific shame...they sucked me in completely. I mostly try to avoid stories that fetishize illness or disability, but this is no fetishization, this is cold, hard reality in all its disgusting truth. Also refreshing is Jason being mean to Tim and Tim being certain that Jason won't care what happens to him ("So Tim might have cancer, boo-freakin’-hoo. Jason Todd died, so why should Tim, his replacement, get out of life Scott-free." That's a great line, as much because of what it says about Tim as Tim's perception of Jason.) There's so much fluffy warm Jason floating around these days, and this is a nice change ( ... )

I got tears in my eyes at the end of the story. I'm glad Jason came.
