Mal/Simon Comment Ficathon Posting Post
All right, folks, we've got a lot of good prompts for the Comment Ficathon! Thanks to everyone who prompted. Now it's time to get writing!
From now until February 28 comment to this entry with your response to any of the prompts behind the cut. No need to let us know you're claiming it, since any prompt can be claimed by more than one writer if the muse inspires, but do please include your prompt (or at least some of it, in the case of plot prompts) in the Title of your comment. Makes it easier for everyone to see which ones have been claimed. Also, the "One (or more) Word Prompts" are just that. You don't have to write a fic that uses them all. Just pick the one/s your muse likes.
Two Rules to remember:
Minimum Word Count is 100, but feel free to fill the comment box.
Deadline is Midnight EST on the 28th, but we won't quibble if something gets posted a bit after that.

Plot Prompts:
AU - What if the Operative had managed to get to one of the Tams - Simon.
AU - Wild West
It took the crew a while to realize that one of the Tam sisters was actually a boy.
Mal and Simon trapped or kidnapped together
Mal finds someone to carry him, but it's not Simon. Unrequited!M/S
Mal gets upset/jealous when Simon goes to a Companion (not Inara) - UST/pre-slash, though it could end up slashy.
Mal lends his doctor out sometimes, when folks seem really in need. He just didn't expect Simon to come back drugged and insensible this time. Bonus if there's addiction withdrawal involved.
Mal wants a relationship, Simon thinks it's just sex...
Mal's reaction the first time Simon wore something relaxed, instead of his fancy duds (a la The Message).
One of the guys has a broken bone or injury of some kind, they need assistance while it heals. A lot of assistance.
Pretending to be a couple turning into more.
River is better, Simon finds that he doesn't know anymore what he's living for and tries to kill himself.
Simon and Mal both hurt at the same time and are both bad patients
Simon and River are getting sold as slaves. Mal buys them (back?).
Simon finds/knows Mal's got an unexpected talent.
Simon injured
Simon is a bad patient.
Simon is interested in the possibility of a serious relationship with Mal, but is embarrassed to mention it because everybody knows he and Jayne fooled around a few times.
Simon loves Mal. River is adamantly opposed to the relationship.
Simon to the rescue
Simon with very tousled hair. How did Mal get him like that and does Mal think he looks silly or hot like that?
Simon's childhood, little parental interaction
Simon's reaction when Mal is mistakenly reported to be dead.
Simon's under quarantine, Mal (and possibly others) find it hilarious to tease and torment, until Simon really starts to get sick.
Someone on Serenity plays matchmaker and uses jealousy to do so.
Stuck in an enclosed space, sexxin's ensue!
What if Simon hadn't been in the bar to utter the words that stopped River?
