House had, admittedly, been putting off seeing his patient to figure out what was wrong for some time. But when he got bored and started reading about computers (not a normal subject of interest, unless he was buying a new one) to give himself something to do, he started putting things together.
Checking the chart, he smiled to himself. PC Gates. Absence seizures. The unexplained coma. Everything started to fall into place.
Why he had a personified computer as a patient was something he wasn't touching.
The only question was what had caused the coma, besides being a PC and possibly made by Dell. (Couldn't Cuddy have bought him a decent replacement?) A little more research into worms and viruses and the like, and House thought he might have found the answer. Now to talk to the patient before making his team decide he'd completely lost it.
[Intended for PC, though he also needs to talk to Wilson. I'm sorry for not doing this sooner--my pup is a stubborn jackass, and he likes not seeing patients.]
