Happy to be home

I had a last minute trip to Indy last week. When I was trying to book the trip, I found that all of the downtown preferred hotels were filled. I had to call our travel services and let them do the negotiations. They were able to get me in at the Omni hotel for the full week, which was perfectly fine ( Read more... )

What the? Thatmakes no sense? What does 4.2 have to do with anything? Oh man, this is why I haven't flown since 9/11. It's rediculous. I love airports and flying but I don't know when I'll do that again if at all. All the fun's been taken out of it.

But that's so cool you ended up in a penthouse. That's the kind of luck I like.
I like the theater at the Citrus Mall. It's my favorite of all the ones I've been to.
That's cool you got to catch up with so many of your friends. I've been trying to get in contact with people too.

Yeah, it has to do with the 3:1:1 rule they've inacted. Supposably you can't have more than 3 oz of liquid/gel in a single container AND the container cannot say it is over 3 oz. You can have 2 bottles of the same thing which are less than 3 oz that equal more but it can't all be in the same container. And of course, some miracle makes my toothpaste not explode if I decide to check my bag, unlike if it was in the cabin (what?!?).. I *completely* agree with you about flying. I feel so lucky to have flow prior to Bush's administration getting his hands all over the restrictions. I have so many fond memories of flying prior to 9:11...

Glad to hear that you're trying to get back in touch with friends as well! It is always good touch base with friends.. :)

it was great to see you!

MacNiven's is on my list of places to go to, after hearing one of the proprietor's speak in class...it sounds like a "not the typical Indy bar" setting. :-)

Glad you had a good time, and got to see so many of us. And thanks for the Stir Crazy experience. :-)

MacNiven's is a fantastic place. I've been there several times because the owner's wife is a vegetarian and she's concerned about food preparation and making sure there are vegetarian entrees. I *LOVE* their beer-cheese soup, however it's only available during the winter time. I think you'll enjoy it if you get a chance to go there..
