I never save my icons step by step, and don't have a set method for each, so it's hard to make tuts anymore. > < It would be easy if it was one step, but they're all different.
So much prettiness! I love this scrapbook/cutout style, with all the old-fashioned patterns...makes a very unique look! I love this! Damn, I have so much to save for Pretty Icon Collective.
Did you type up all of the tinytext yourself? I'd like to know the font for banner #2 (the 455x190). And the crooked text you used for "the Evolution of a Relationship" :D
I think what I like most about your work is that it's got this kind of museum-esque quality to it. That there's something archival and old, but not too old about everything. Maybe I expect to find stuff like this at an antiques store. I can't put my finger on this style! Me loves it!
Must be the flowery patterns of old (it does look like they came right out of an antique store's wardrobe) and the grungy tape and old-written journal brush stuff. I always think they look like this collage-book-journal I write in. It has cutouts, and I write down quotes and paint in it and doodle...yeah.
For the second banner, no, that's a re-arranged brush made by gender. She scans journals/notebooks and uses them as brushes. For the evolution one, I'm not sure what tiny text you're talking about. The text itself is just courier, and the brush was made by ofthesky.net, I believe.
