Because. EDWARD OMG. And his last exchange with Richard -- holy crap, that last line is so perfectly pointed. And wee badass Isabel! AND OMG I WANT TO PUNCH HENRY.
And I loved this:
Edward wondered, as he watched the others in the room nod in agreement, when his family had turned hypocrite.
Because THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN. He just didn't get it until now. Oh, Edward, you sad little fuckup. *hearts*
Thank you so much! This is brilliant.

(And then she goes off and breaks Hal's heart and contributes to turning him into the horrible person we know and...er...yes. ;) )

I love Isabel fighting back and telling off Henry, because OMG, he DESERVES it.
And oh, Aumerle. You want so badly to believe that your family is fundamentally decent, don't you?
And Richard breaks my heart, because he KNOWS he is messed up and that he is not good for Aumerle and he still desperately needs love and at the same time he's emotionally burned out. He lost Robbie and he lost Anne and he doesn't have anything left. I think he can like people and care for them...but that depth of love is gone. He's like a hollowed-out pumpkin.
And honestly, it would kill him if he could love that much again, I think, because he wouldn't be able to stand even the idea of losing that much a third time. And I feel so sorry for Isabel who loves this poor broken shell of a man with only scraps of a heart.
And I want to hug him and Aumerle because he's so shattered and Aumerle is so clueless and means so well.
This is wonderful and tragic and AUUUUGH.

Oh, me too. She is such a darling, and he knows she feels more for him than he can for her, but he also knows that he's giving her everything he can without losing himself again.
Eventually, we do want to include Henry's point of view since everything up to this point has really targeted him as a horrible person.
