the guy who wrote the article is a total toolbag....clichebeautifulMarch 27 2006, 01:09:35 UTC
who's to say that THAT person isn't a scam, though? what makes this average joe so legitimate? i mean, yes, poetry.com is probably a scam, but still, i read his article and he (i'm assuming it's male, only for convenience sake) doesn't provide any links or hard, factual evidence. He basically said, "well, i went and did this, and they said, 'no.' so that's the truth." well, now it's a game of his word against theirs. he didn't make a good argument at all, and that's the only thing that really bothers me about this.
he also says how poetry.com makes 6 million dollars off of us for buying the poetry merchandise that they offer, well, one, that's assuming that all the 1500 people actually buy the book, and two, that's assuming that all the money that goes into it, is profit. whih it's not. they use the majority of money to run the website, pay for the publications, and whatnot. just like any other business.
even if this guy IS right, i find him to be a tool and i hate him without even meeting him or knowing his name.
