Avatar Mini Meme - Self Indulgence Ozai

Dec 09, 2010 20:42

I know I have a meme for FA!Ozai, but I'm finding hard to write him. So I'm having a mini meme for my meme. Hush. My logic is sound.

He's the scoop, pick another character (optional) and prompt (necessary). Try to keep it in 'canon' as much as possible, but AU making stuff is okay.

Four slots. One is saved. You should know who you are.

Enjoy!

Piandao; "Good or bad, you're still a person."

I lost the prompt's original intention. Ozai learns bender or not; they are still an amazing person who knows neat ways of harming people. Piandao sighs.

It is not uncommon for Crown Prince Iroh to bring home guests when he returns from the front.

Second Prince Ozai gives them a courtesy bow; his brother jovial with a ruffle upon his younger brother's head. Ozai tolerates it, because it's affection beyond Li and Lo. Often Iroh's friends are the same; open faced men who laugh too loud (save Jeong Jeong when sober) who excel in bending.

When Ozai is eight, however, a young officer returns with his brother and Jeong Jeong. He is quiet and pleasant in manner and tone, towering and dark, graceful. And he doesn’t bend ( ... )

*shivers in delight*

I like this. :D

I love how Ozai sees things, and his reaction to Piandao. <33333

Aang; I've got you right where I want you.

I couldn't do this in canon, the term was so final and hard for someone like Aang to consider if he won. I suspect I could have done a sneak peek in Ozai's head befre he fought Aang, but I suspect it would have been ALL divaesque ego.

So. AU.

The youth pouring his wine should be by all means dead.

That had been the intention when he snatched the Avatar's arm after breaking him from the white-hot-stone prison. The young boy's eyes were gray and huge, terrified and crushed. Oh, not for the loss of his life, but for the fact he failed his duty as an Avatar. The boy was prepared to die ( ... )

Thank you so very much for writing this for me! :) (Sorry for not replying more quickly - I've been in the mountains the last few days.)

I have to say, this fic does hit the right level of creepy. I like that Aang's new name is "Kaze" and how "his eyes often absently dart to open windows" despite the mindbending. Very nice details. :) You are awesome.

Darkness displeases him; even if the Sun’s call did nothing for his body. Darkness hides and enfolds and imprisons. Darkness makes him ache for pale sunshine that sometimes peers from cracks under the massive steal door.

Darkness does not give warning when the spirit arrives. The smell of fetid breath and the frozen chill within the air is all that warns him to the spirit’s presence. One that waits for him to raise his weary head; to look up with bleak yellow eyes hidden behind a veil of tangled hair.

The smooth mask smiles and waits before it speaks, “Do you enjoy your prison here, Fallen One?”

“The dajiang is fantastic.” He does not look up; something within screeches not to look up but even that screech-flame voice doesn’t need to warn him. He know not to look up with baleful gold eyes, to keep his irritation at the intrusion.

“Surly nothing compared to what you once had?” Sour breath whispers in his ear.

He sighs and feels the spirit freeze in anticipation, breath held by a creature that does not need to breathe.

“Be gone ( ... )

Amazing and so very very creepy, which is fitting as Koh is a very creepy character. Thank you so much for this piece.

I'm not always keen on 'Koh as temper/Lucifer'. However, Koh is keenly aware that Ozai will always affect Aang. And there should always be something to lick at the heels of an Avatar with poisoned breath.

Ozai, however, refuses to be a toy for Koh. <3

Oh, Ozai. Oh, Iroh. *hugs the brothers* You've both changed so much and not at all.

Firelord Zuko doesn’t first quite recognize the man standing by Chief Hakoda as his father because the mental image of his father always forces the color red and a figured swashed in fire.

Ozai is dressed in a not quite blue parka with white mittens and white kamiks - turtle-seal boots - to match. The full moon’s light makes his father’s skin nearly silver-white and the light even catches the few silver threads wound in Ozai’s black hair.

But what truly takes Zuko back is the not-quite-smile hiding at the corners of the Fallen lord’s mouth as he walks by Hakoda’s side.
