Random Ramblings

May 31, 2006 00:19

I seem to have been pretty much perma-tired since I got back from America..... not been sleeping well, and napping way too much for someone who is not actually a cat.  Don't feel sorry for me, I am sure it's entirely my own fault.  Too much stuff whizzing around the small limited space of my brain!

I keep typo-ing "from" as "form" like, everywhere ( Read more... )

random, gip

As far as I know it really was just a "sceond May holiday". We always have a "May Day Bank Holiday" the first Monday of May, and apparently now we also have a random one at the end of May. I said it was weird!

Destiantion LA 3: The Magic Number sounds good to me! ;)

I mean if they called it something else, then it would be something else, rather than the third D:LA. *grin*

They call 'em all "Bank Holidays" whataver the actual holiday as a sort of blanket term... and to remind folks that *business is closed* cos of the holiday, lol. So less about Bank's needing holidays, and more just to remind people that it's a National Holiday (for whatever reason).

For example, US holidays such as Memorial Day, President's Day, whatever would all be called "Bank Holidays" over here.
