一 - I found out that during the China half of my year abroad, I shall be going to Shanghai! This is good as it was my first choice of destination, so I am terribly pleased! *laughs* Yes, I am taking a class in the Mongolian language. However, I hate it. It is...quite spectacularly ugly and...I don't know. It's probably the teaching style, and how much homework we get for such an unimportant module, credits-wise.

There are words like "ерөнхийлөгч" (president), "үйлчлүүлэгч" (customer) and "худалдагч" (shop assistant). My favourite word so far is "оймс" - socks.

Hmm, minority languages...the only one I can think of is Catalan, if that can be counted as a minority. As far as languages that you can't study just anywhere - especially in the UK - you can take Cantonese, Thai and Indonesian in my department, also Dutch and Bulgarian in others...
