Nah, never played the games so I didn't know anything about them.

When I was in high school some of my friends knew about my character Blaze. But they always used to say "OH GEEZ FOR A PERSON WITH AN ANGEL CHARACTER (Blaze had feathered wings back then) YOU'RE PRETTY NEGATIVE!"

And from there I took the name Negative Angel. :B

Actually, I've never been accused of stealing anything because of my characters. Even Jake, who for a good while looked like a Sonic rip-off (I used to draw him with the cyclops eyes) never had that connection made. I would have figured someone by now would have said something, but there you go.
