H50 Ep: Ha'uoli La Ho'omoaika'i

Sigh. I'm a bad fangirl. I totally forgot I hadn't watched the Thanksgiving ep, so I watched it on VOD tonight so that I could watch the new episode tomorrow, only it turns out there isn't even a new episode tomorrow. Epic. Fail. I really need to start watching this show live on Fridays again. Sorry, Grimm. I promise to watch you first thing on ( Read more... )

I agree there were lots of continuity issues with Grover, etc and while Mary may turn out to be a great mom, I can't believe anyone would not be surprised if she does. But the good far outweighed the bad and given that this ep had so much of what's been missing all season, I've re-watched it more than once already. =)

At least Mary is really, genuinely trying to be a good mom.

This ep is definitely my favorite so far this season.

I had wondered if you watched this one but didn't do a write-up or if I missed it or something. I'm glad you finally saw it!

Yeah, there was a lot of "um, what?" in this episode, but I loved Steve actually going to Danny when he was freaking out about Aunt Deb's cancer. Steve not bottling everything up and shutting everyone out, actively going to his BFF for help coping, was great.

Aunt Deb rocked. I hope she shows up in more episodes! I totally agree with you on Grover's "poor babyyy" voice. He can do snark and sarcasm quite nicely.

I've been watching Grimm on Fridays, and I keep meaning to watch H50 the next day but I've been having an increasingly difficult time motivating myself to do so. Of course, now that I've pledged to watch H50 on Fridays, Grimm decides to do a 2-hour mid-season finale with Krampus, so...umm...maybe next month.

Me too. The best thing about it was that he hadn't told everybody yet (Mary didn't even know) and he didn't need Danny to do him a favor or anything, he just needed a friend.
