I get blocked and angsty unless I start writing conversationally, then I can go back and formalize it.

Uh - no, not really. Actually, if I could find a way to speak into a microphone and have it automagically transcribe, fix the grammatical errors, and not be made or sold by Microsoft, I think I'd be fine. I've always had the problem of my brain's going faster than my fingers (thank gods for computers - when it was typewriters, it was worse).
