A new Jane Eyre?

I did not know until today that they remade a movie of Jane Eyre... again.

It's playing here in Boston and I am tempted to see it just to find out if what they did with this version.  The trailer says a "bold new vision" or something or other... but... really?  I hope so, because as much as I adore Jane Eyre I've never seen anything spectacularly

People always make Rochester too handsome, I think.

But the movie's been getting very good reviews! A friend of mine just saw it today and loved it (and she usually has good taste).

Also, ditto on the fortune telling scene being the best in the book. IT IS WHY I LOVE ROCHESTER, WHY DO PEOPLE LEAVE IT OUT.

I agree. I think I've only seen one version where he wasn't too handsome, and it fit. But they keep forgetting that important feature :/

Awesome! I might definitely have to see it then... it's always fun to see what they've done with another adaptation.

I KNOW! It's such a great defining/character development scene, for both of them, I think, and I have no idea why that scene keeps getting left out.

I first saw that actor as the demon Azreal in 'Hex' admittedly...I've never been able to unsee it. But yes...he's too handsome for Mr. Rochester really I think.

lol! Demon!Rochester! :P I don't know if I remember seeing that actor anywhere before... I might have to check out Hex just for kicks. And yes... way too handsome...

It is!!! I'm not an official designer/advertiser person and I can see how horrible it is. I don't get it...
