I'm a shaking, fangirl mess right now.

( Why I'm going to be useless after Thursday's episode... and pretty much for the rest of today as well... (SPOILERS for 5.18) )

I HAD NOT HEARD ABOUT HALF NEKID CASTIEL!!! I've read all the other spoilers for this ep, though, and it is going to be EPIC.

But now I'm worried! Why would he be bare chested? DOES HE GET HURT? Cas never takes any clothes off. Does he fight angels and they hurt him? Can he not fix himself? ACK!

In all serious, though... I DON'T KNOW! I'm kinda worried about it, too! The only excuses I can come up with are 1) he's performing some ritual that requires him for some reason to take off his shirt (other than the fact he'd up his hot BAMF status), like some part of the ritual required something from him (blood, markings, anointing/whatevs), 2) the angels get to him and try to do something to him, and/or there's a major fight/struggle or something ... which, yes, leads to 3) he's hurt and EEK!! Omg... I think this is gonna be so epic. And idk, can he heal himself? He can't heal other people but so far he's been relatively okay. Which also leads me to wonder what's gonna happen w/ that and if Cas is gonna be the one making the sacrifice in this episode, and THAT'S why the shirts comin' off :o/

So yeah... I think I've babbled enough lol. But yes, this is gonna be the most Epic episode ever. :o)

It's true we haven't seen Castiel heal himself this season. Whereas last season, he was shot and stabbed and perfectly fine the next minute. Though I wonder if healing other people and healing himself is different. He was weakened in 5x13, but I wonder if that was more his real self being weakened than his vessel being injured.

That's what I've been thinking, that the two healing modes (himself and others) are different. And yeah, the only times we've seen him really hurt this season have been his mojo being affected/his true self being weakened (5.13 with time travel - weakened mojo, 5.17 with the Whore - some harm to his true self). So yeah... idk. It'll be interesting to see that if he is wounded, if it's a progression of his losing his Grace, or whatever.
