I don't know if I see what's been given in canon as the writers setting up for future Dean/Cas...but I would LOVE it if that's the case. I just doubt very much that it's anything more than Kripke teasing us slash fans.I kind of agree with you about this point (though I'm really torn about it - I can see it as a set up for a relationship, but I can also see it as just further character development that doesn't necessarily NEED to lead anywhere). I can see everything they've given us to "support" Dean/Castiel as just teasing, but it's sad that Kripke and the writers can't just let things develop, and not shy away from fabulous character development and character relationships that would be fascinating if Dean/Castiel became canon just because of... whatever. And, in a sense, whatever they might put in the show as just teasing, well *shrugs* it's in the show, it's canon. That might be the writer in me being "You can't put something in a story and
