As some of you on Facebook may have seen. I am now, for the first time in my life, no longer single. I have met a girl over World of Warcraft, who makes me so very happy and is a light in the darkness for me. She herself apparently had given up on relationships and convinced herself that she was better off alone until I turned up and apparently

Absolutely brilliant! Yes, the important thing is keep communications flowing, any relationship will see cracks if communications start failing. Personally I have no problems with long distance relationships, and I know a few people who are in them, or who have literally after I suppose ten years, have finally moved in together, across in the west country.

Have you met her? Not that it matters if you're both doing fine. Wish you both a good time and good luck.

Its nice to here a success story of a long distance relationship, I have sadly seen very few.

I have not met her yet, though she is planning to come over some time during the summer, and I am going to go over there in November (busy year sadly preventing me from getting any more time to visit)

After being in a rather successful LDR I can honestly say that while it does suck being apart for long periods they can certainly be fulfilling in the end. Communication, patience and trust are definitely essential ingrediants for making it work.

Not much I can say that hasn't already, but well done and I'm wishing you both the best in your relationship. The road ahead may be bumpy, uneven and backtrack occasionally but keep at it as the destination is worth it.
