I'm so glad to hear you've joined jobsites! I'll cross everything I can that something wonderful comes of it :) Boo about the ankle though; I hope it gets better soon! And sorry to hear about the funeral. It's never fun *HUGS* ♥ Happy to see you pop up on the flist again ♥
Wow, you do have a lot going on there! I'm sorry about Chris and all the other difficulties. I hope you find a much better job soon!
And don't feel embarrassed about the ankle. I've done mine in dozens of times and it's usually while stepping off a curb or that very dangerous sport of walking in a straight line down a stretch of perfectly flat pavement.
Yeah, lot's going on, not all of it good. Still, things can only get better =)
It's annoying because it's my bad ankle - I was hit by a car as a kid and spent a long time in hospital and amongst my other injuries, the ankle I've hurt is the one that was pretty smashed up, so it's always been a little week anyway. Still, it'll get better and at least it's not broken!
Plus at least I legitimately feel down something this time - last time I fell in the flat there was nothing to trip me and I just feel whilst walking down my hallway, then sat there going 'ow'. Quite pathetic really =)
I'm sorry for your loss hon, having people around that you're fond of makes work a little better, I'm sure you'll miss him. Congrats though on the CV and everything! That's a big step forward and I hope something comes of it. Maybe the few days off work and at home paid off.
So frustrating (and dusty) when your floor is suddenly covered with your ceiling - it's great to hear you've got someone to fix it quickly.
*ouch* about the ankle - I would tell you to ice it but I don't want you falling off the chair and in the freezer trying to get your foot in there....
( ... )
Like I've said before, I really miss your presence, but rl is the priority, and I hope everything goes well for you. I'm so sorry to hear about your ankle, I really hope it gets better soon!
I have something I need to send to you, but it'll have to wait until after next week, when I'm back in York and can live a normal life and do normal things again. Idk, when I'm at home I basically eat, sleep, go online, and do it all over again the next day, with the occasional trip to town. *facepalm* I don't have any wrapping paper, I don't have anything else yet that goes with the thing I got you from NYC (something small, nothing big - I wish I could've got you something bigger but I went for something simple), and worst of all, I KEEP FORGETTING WHERE THE POST OFFICE IS. Argh, lived here all my life, and yet never really lived here, because my parents always did everything for me. I had a very, very sheltered childhood, hah.
tl;dr. Basically, I WILL SEND YOU SOMETHING SOON, AND STAY WELL, MY DARLING, AND ILU. THE END.
I think it's pretty funny that you keep forgetting where your Post Office is! It's very kind of you to send me something and you know you really don't have to, right? =)
It's pretty embarrassing, if anything! 18 years and still clueless. *sigh*
I know I don't have to! Just like you don't have to ever send me really lovely things that brighten my day a whole lot. It's the gesture, the kindness and thoughtfulness of it, your sheer generosity. Seriously, I want to, and I hope that the little things I can do (not as often as I find the time to, either) will bring something to your everyday life. (:

Thank you - I don't hold out a lot of hope, but at least I'm putting myself out there and trying now, so fingers crossed.

Ankle quite painful again this morning, but I think the more I walk on it the better it will be. I hope, anyway =)
