Stuff I Forgot to Post About

(Thank you, hormones!)

I met feliciacraft! She came up to my neck of the woods on work, and ended up staying just a couple of miles away, so we went out for dinner last week. It was awesome! There's nothing quite like discussing the mechanics of porn writing in a family-friendly pizza establishment ;D Oh, and she bought me some locally made chocolate from CA ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear you are sick. Let's hope the urgent care won't be necessary. Get well soon!

And thanks for the lovely fic. Spike is someone who never stops trying himself, so it's not so strange that this is one of the things he loves most in her, too.

Blech, thank you.

Spike is someone who never stops trying himself, so it's not so strange that this is one of the things he loves most in her, too.

Exactly :)

I felt so liberated coming out of the fandom closet during dinner with you that I completely overlooked the fact that our conversation was taking place in a family-friendly restaurant! Oops! :P

Hope you get better soon! And I'm so glad SF-made chocolate measured up!

And lovely fic, as always. "The stuff dreams are made of" is one of my all-time favorite phrases, not from Shakespeare (where, as you know, the phrasing is slightly different), but from the Maltese Falcon, of course, which is something I think every San Franciscan is proud of and has read in school at least once. It fits your story perfectly, which makes me inexplicably happy.

Hee hee hee, don't worry, I don't think anyone overheard ;)

I don't actually know the Maltese Falcon *googles* I think it's just one of those phrases that's in the collective consciousness, like all those King James Bible ones. Glad it works for you though :)

LOL. Well, that's what makes a story great - you can expect reader response beyond what's literally being said. :)

I do recommend the Maltese Falcon for light reading, if you're interested. It's a fun whodunit story. The wonderful movie adaptation features Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor!

I had to bite the bullet and take my (second) sweater off to cool down :( Given that it's snowing outside rn this is no small ask!

I've not been that busy ;-p About 50k of that was written before September last year. You're not allowed to read it until you've finished the series, though -- way too many spoilers ;)

I love your comment, thank you <3 This made me laugh, though:

Wait she serenaded Spike before snogging?

Just you wait :D (it's in season 6)

Incoherent squeaking at news of more on Soul!

I'm sorry to hear you feel sick and feverish. *sets out a nice glass of ice water and hides some fruit pops in your freezer, the kind that are made of fruit not weird artificial flavorings*
