I'm such a huge fan of Mad Max: Fury Road too! Furiosa pretty much has become one of my favorite fictional characters...

Never heard of Sense8 before is it a new series? Not that I should be encouraging myself to dive into another fandom. I'm only a few eps into S3 of BTVS...

Okay #9 made me laugh so hard! How perfectly Spike hahaha And am so going to find a way to use the quote of #10 hands down.

#11...The gateway tale that drew me down the rabbit hole of BTVS! Have to say that tale really left its mark on me. Was never much of a fan of OC's in general but Bridget (for me) really turned me around in that regard. Truthfully, she's like canon to this universe for me now.

*Big hugs* Aww thank you! You have been a wonderful inspiration to me! And at times a wondrously 'bad' influence hehe -->Spuffy...need I say more? 0;-)

Sense8 is a netflix original series, so I think that's the only place you can watch it...? (By legal means, ofc). I dunno that it's the type of show to generate much fannishness, because it's so well written there aren't a lot of fill-in-the-blank type episodes of the type that inspire fanfic (I've found this with JMS's shows before, he's a very satisfying writer). But it's definitely worth a watch. Hubby spent the first 3-4 eps in a haze of confusion, but it all begins to unravel and make sense as the series goes on :) I loved it.

Always happy to be a bad influence :D Now, if I can just get you to write spuffy fanfic... *evil laughter*

I just have to say "ditto!" You have been so fantastic to work with - I am not exaggerating when I call you the "best beta ever" because you really GET where I want to go as a writer, call me out when I get lazy but let me keep my run-on sentences, and just inspire me to no end. Not to mention the usual beta work of catching typos and punctuation errors and fixing my Britspeak. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting to beta your beautiful, textured, heart-stabbing stories! Looking forward to more of it!

I've only read the first one so far, but I found it quite fascinating. It took me a little while to get into it because the lack of dialogue was a little off-putting to me, but what I really came to admire was how real their friendship felt, with all the competitiveness and resentment and pettiness coupled with the love and protectiveness. I thought the structure was incredibly well done, the way it really reads like an older woman trying to remember exactly how things shook out so long ago, the sort of circular way she comes back around to her point. The world-building, in all its awfulness, was completely immersive and FUCK ME that ending was a killer D:
