Last night I slept horribly and woke far too early, and this has apparently led to me spending the day writing. Somehow I've added 1.1k to The Soul Lies Down. Clearly, it is time for a well-earned break.

I've never actually tried Jaffa cakes. It sounds like one of those things where I'd either love them or hate them and both options are kinda bad given that I'm stuck in the Midwest for the foreseeable future.

They're not exactly easy to get in MA either, and given that I already love them, my life is hard ;)

Well, yeah but Boston is a *lot* bigger than Madison. And it has sooooo many colleges and universities, so there's a pretty large Brit expat population.

Really the thing I miss most about living in a decent sized city is the rice tho. I could get good rice in decent sized bags from at least 4 different grocery stores less than a mile from our place in LA. Here? Nearest grocery store is a Walmart :P. Our old neighborhood in Madison was a bit better on the rice front, but the only rice choice in 20lb/10kg bags was Japanese rice. Not Japanese, Thai, Mexican and Indian *sigh*

Well you know, outside of america, 20lb bags of anything except possibly cement are really unusual!
