The mod of the asoiafbigbang community wants all the authors to write a summary (one to three paragraphs) of our stories to hand in with our rough drafts this weekend
( Read more... )
go find a few paper books on your shelf and read their summaries. This will give you an idea of what to say. It usually boils down to: Character A faces stern parents, awkward circumstances, and misunderstandings on his/her way toward discovery." Or something like that.
Oh right... good idea! (Why didn't I think of that? >.<)
OK, I don't know if you have the first clue about who anyone is, but how does this sound...?
In the riverlands, a young boy and a wolf wash up on an island after a winter storm. On the kingsroad, a novice of the faith is sent to seek redemption for his sins. In the north, Sansa Stark rules as Seneschal of Winterfell until her younger brother comes of age. In the shadows, someone is watching.
Sansa Stark has devoted her freedom to the restoration of her childhood home and the reassembly of her family, but when an unexpected figure from her past arrives with her youngest brother in tow, Sansa faces a difficult decision. Stay with her family, support and educate them, and give up on her own dreams, or put herself squarely in the power of a man of whose character she is, at best, unsure.

Spring is coming. There will be no turning back.
I'm thinking it's a bit Harlequin-esque...
