I came out of the cinema last night not really knowing what to make of this film, but the more I've thought about it, the more I like it.

I think the White Queen's lipstick was actually black. She was very scary. And the whole her flattering around like a cartoonish Disney heroine made he even more scary.

Yeah, just the fact that on one level she was clearly supposed to be the embodiment of the classic disneyish heroine, and on another she was absolutely freaking terrifying, makes her a really interesting character to me. Her nails were black too, did you notice? D:

I've heard that Tim Burton asked Anne Hathaway to base her performance on Nigella Lawson (a very well-known British TV chef). That made certain moment absolutely hilarious for me and the boy, esp the bit where she's making the potion!
