Aaron was mildly impressed with himself for managing to get changed and ready to meet Molly while cradling his phone between his jaw and shoulder. But there hadn't been anything for it; as soon as he'd got home from work another potential client had called, and he'd had to take the time to explain his ideas for their website without being late for Molly. If this kept up, he'd end up with more of a workload on his side job than his main job for the Weekly. So he couldn't complain.

Being late for Molly wasn't an option of course; there would be macaroni and cheese, it was probably all melty, and Molly was making it. At her place. For him. Well, more accurately, she'd made it and was allowing him to join her in eating it. Which was no less awesome.

He grinned at his reflection as he quickly brushed his teeth, then grabbed the wine he'd decided to pick up on the way home. It wasn't really chilled yet, but he hoped that was okay. When he got downstairs, he knocked on her door, snorting when he heard the Robyn song playing from inside.

Molly tossed her phone on the coffee table when she heard a knock at the door. Jumping up, she tried to walk slowly to let Aaron in. She didn't want to make it seem like she'd just been waiting for him, but she had been. So.

"Hey," she greeted, opening the door and ushering Aaron in. "Before you diss the tunes, I did promise to let you DJ." She smiled and closed the door behind him.

"Hope you're hungry. We have enough food to feed about six of us."

"I didn't say a word!" he protested, laughing as Molly let him in, and he took a moment to appreciate how she looked in her jeans and tee shirt as she shut the door. "I'd never insult the music a woman who's feeding me, honest. The fact I brought my ipod is completely coincidental."

He nodded. "Mmmm, super-hungry. Though I'm kind of glad it's just us." He set the wine on her coffee table, watching her. "How's your week been?"

"I should hope not. I get the feeling that your mom taught you better than that." Molly wasn't at all territorial about her music, despite how much she loved it.

Molly raised her eyebrows at the bottle of wine, pleased that he brought it. "Wine. Excellent choice." She grinned when Aaron said he was glad it was just them. "Yeah, me too." Molly really liked Aaron, liked hanging out with him, liked talking to him, and certainly had a crush on him. Still, she knew that she'd take what she could get, friendship or more. She had friends in town, but no one outside of work, really.

"Week's been good. Just the usual. How about you? How was your mom's birthday?"
