Erica never minded going to Ezra's for their jam sessions, which almost always ended up being more them just hanging out and talking, with a little bit of playing thrown in for the fun of it, but today she kind of wanted them to hang out at her apartment because she was a little excited to show off her Christmas tree. That seemed so silly to her, wanting to show off a tree, but it was her first Christmas tree really, and she was excited about it. She was a little apprehensive about having Ezra bring Nori with him, but she wanted to play with the puppy, too, and she wasn't about to make Ezra leave him all alone at home ( ... )

Ezra chuckled to himself at the fact that the door had actually been locked, though he had a feeling that might have just meant Erica hadn't actually left her apartment today. "Hey, so I'm assuming J.J. locked the door." He commented with a smirk, laughing again when Nori lurched forward and attempted to get as close to Erica as possible. His puppy was just about as friendly as he was, so far they were a good match. "From now on I think Nori's going to trump me in everyone's mind." Ezra joked as he stepped into the apartment, still holding onto the leash with a bit of a death grip, even though for his part Nori really was being fairly calm now ( ... )

Erica grinned at his comment. "What? You think I haven't figured out how to lock my own door?" she asked, joking. "But yeah, he did." She knew her guys liked to give her a hard time about forgetting to lock her door when she was home, but it didn't bother her. She really should try remembering more. "Only cause he's cuter than you," she teased, reaching down to pet the puppy again.

"Yes! It is. Just got it yesterday," she said, pride evident in her tone. "We were gonna get it last weekend, but I didn't want to make J.J. lug it up here in the rain, y'know?" She closed and locked the door, and then went further into the apartment with Ezra and Nori. "I've been good. It's been an adjustment at work with Jase being gone, but we're managing all right," she answered honestly. "How 'bout you? How're you adjusting to life with a puppy?"

Ezra was assessing just how far away from Erica he should get before making this comment. "Do you even know where the lock is located on your door?" He couldn't keep himself from smirking as he said this, and laughed when she admitted that it was J.J. that had locked the door. "You're saying Nori is cuter, really?" He fixed his face into a mock pout, pretending to be deeply hurt by Erica's comment, when it fact he was aware that his puppy was freaking adorable ( ... )
