Work hadn't been horrible. Some days, that was the best Cody could say about it. When he left the ranch, he wasn't really in the mood to go home yet. He felt a little restless, and that usually meant it was better to go out and do something instead of crash with the remote control. The Hawthorne was his go-to bar of choice, and he figured he'd buy something to eat while getting in a game or two of pool.

When he arrived, Cody left his cane in the cab of the truck. He was still in a habit of using it, even if he didn't usually need it, so he was trying to break the habit. Slowly. He made his way inside and went to the bar, ordering a beer and a basket of chicken wings. While waiting for his order, he checked the pool tables and was glad to see that there were some empty.

Ten minutes had passed and he still hadn't heard from Erica, so after shooting off a quick text message to her asking if they were still on for tonight and shoving his phone back into his pocket, Ezra swiveled around on the bar stool and eyed the pool tables. He hadn't played since his accident, didn't even know if he could still manage to play, but he had to remind himself he wouldn't know if he didn't at least try.

He was putting off trying though for a few more minutes as he ordered a beer and sat staring at the wood of the bar. So he still had his 'wimp' moments, putting off trying something for fear of failure. Though it was just a game of pool, and if he sucked at it, oh well, he could at least say he tried it again. Ezra jump off the bar stool and made his way towards one of the open tables, realizing that playing alone would be kind of boring, but at least he'd spare himself the humiliation of crashing and burning in front of a stranger.

"Thanks, man." Cody slid his money across the bar and took his beer and basket with him to one of the tables near a pool table. He ate a couple of the wings, licking barbeque sauce off his fingers before taking a sip of his beer. Once he'd satisfied the initial hunger, he rubbed his knee and made sure it was feeling alright. He didn't want to risk doing something stupid just to play pool.

Once he was sure it was okay, he grabbed a cue and made his way around the table to get the balls together. When a striped ball slipped out of his hand, he cursed under his breath and turned around to see where it had rolled. Hopefully, it wasn't under anything because he wasn't sure how he'd be able to get it.

"C'mon." Ezra muttered to himself, standing at the end of the pool table and just staring at the balls. Maybe if he stood here long enough Erica and J.J. would show up and he could scape the whole idea of attempting to play pool, or at least that was the hope. But when had his life really been that easy? Pretty much never, and so with a sigh Ezra moved closer to the table, leaning over it and just about to actually attempt to shoot when something rolled into the side of his foot.

Glancing down at the object, he realized it was a pool ball, though clearly not one of his since they were all still on the table neatly organized into a triangle. After leaning down to pick it up, Ezra glanced around and spotted a guy coming towards him. "This belong to you?" He asked, holding up the ball in his right hand.
