Over thinking this would be a bad idea, trying to figure out, piece together or even assume what Damien had planned would only lead to Soli freaking out a little bit. She had originally had this elaborate night out planned for the date she had won, but at the last minute she had chickened out, instead going with paintball because it was so non-date. Although she kind of giggled in amusement at the fun they had had washing up after their little paintball outing, she had definitely made the non-date worth Damien's while ( ... )

Damien's eyes moved over Soli when she finally opened the door. He was sure he'd think she was beautiful no matter what she was wearing, but maybe it was something to do with the fact that he knew tonight was going to change things between them, hopefully for the better, because she looked incredibly gorgeous to him just then. He smiled at the question in her voice when she said his name, taking a step inside and reaching for her hand. "Soli." Soli was comforted that at least what she had picked out was appropriate for whatever Damien had planned, or at least she hoped it was since his gaze moved over her and she heard no arguments to the contrary. She finally managed to murmured, still curious about his behavior.

Her gaze fell to the flowers he held out, and she could physically feel her heart speed up. He had bought her flowers, and not just any kind of flowers, colorful daisies like the last time he had bought her flowers. "Deus, flores?." She just couldn't believe he had brought her flowers, and her mind was racing as to what that meant. Because never once, beyond Damien buying her flowers for her ( ... )

Damien loved that even though she'd been living with him for a little while already, he could still manage to surprise her. He loved to see that look in her eyes and wanted to reassure her that no matter how she'd been treated in the past, she deserved all these little surprises and even the bigger ones, but he just had a feeling she wouldn't quite believe him. "You're welcome," he murmured, smiling at her. He'd never tire of telling her she was beautiful.

"Yes, flores," Damien answered with a crooked little grin even though he knew it had been rhetorical. "'Welcome." He couldn't help the wide, cheesy smile when she kissed his cheek, thinking that it was truly such a sweet response and made him hope even more that tonight would turn out good, that what he had planned wasn't going to be too much for her ( ... )
