Date: September 24, 2011 Characters: Thad Jordan, Gigi Campbell Location: Random diner Status: Public - ish Summary: Gigi’s sent to get food for her co-workers Completion: Complete
The lead from Alex's tattoo guy had been a good one. Now it was up to him to see it through. He'd called the guy, Tyler, on Friday, and set up a time to meet, but they hadn't gone over too many details. Thad had certainly done enough interviews by now to be pretty sure how it would go, but on the other hand none of those interviews had actually led to anything, so he probably needed to work on his approach.
Maybe he just needed to be honest. I need a fucking job, I'll do anything at this point.Couldn't turn out worse than the things he'd said before, though he wasn't going to chance it. This wasn't a delivery job or something washing dishes in a restaurant kitchen, this was something he might actually want to do. Or at least see if he could do

Gigi had been counting the minutes until she could get out of this place, and being jostled around wasn’t improving her mood any. Though, she hadn’t expected an apology. Most people in a place this crowded never noticed they'd run bumped into somebody else.
“Not the first person to do it.” She replied, careful to keep most of the snarl out of her tone. Wasn’t like he’d done it on purpose. “Don’t worry about it though. Was gonna call it a lost cause anyways.” The proportions were a little wrong, though she probably was the only one looking at it closely enough to notice.
"Still." Thad raised a brow as she all but snapped at him, but he'd bumped into her, after all. He crossed his arms against the counter, elbows close to him, then peered at what she was drawing on the napkin.
"A crow?" Maybe? Some kind of black bird anyway. "No, it looks good," he offered. "If you change the, ah...I don't really know the right terms, but the wings are too small. A tiny bit." He glanced at her and shrugged. "Not to get all in your business, but since you're throwing it away anyway." Random conversation etiquette was still kind of coming back to him.
“A raven.” Gigi clarified then raised a brow when he pointed out almost exactly what was wrong. Must be an artist or have a very good eye for things. “Yeah, the proportions are fucked. I’d fix it, but pen is difficult to correct.” She managed a small smile. “You an artist? Most people don’t notice that shit right off.”
It was then that she took a good look at the guy; he had a couple a tattoos. Not bad work either, so she could probably guess that he at least had an appreciation for artwork. “Nice ink. You get any of them local?” He didn’t sound like a native, but who the hell knew how long he’d actually been in Texas.
