Date: Friday August 5, 2011 Characters: Harley Jordan, Taehyun Yi Location: Reen’s Auto Care Status: Private Summary: Taehyun takes care of Celia’s car troubles. Completion: Incomplete
Harley was on her way back from parking one of her regulars' cars out back. Duck usually took care of that, but he wasn't around and it wasn't exactly good to take it for granted that he'd always take care of the small stuff just because he always ended up doing it. It wasn't like he worked for her and Russ. It was good practice for her anyway, because their back lot was cramped as hell and parking anything in it when it was full was a lesson in reflexes, timing, and depth perception.
Crossing in front of the garage doors, she spotted the car pulling in and took a detour to greet the posh-looking guy who got out. "Welcome to Reen's," she said, putting on her customer smile as she spouted their standard line, "How can we service you today?"
"Hi," Taehyun replied and mentally cringed once he realized he had slipped straight into his waiter voice. Maybe he shouldn't work so damn much. "The door on the passenger side isn't opening from inside the car. Not exactly sure why that is. It probably needs an oil change as well." Celia never remembered those kinds of things.
Ooh, a technical problem. She usually got mechanical ones, they didn't do too much body work. She looked the car over curiously. "Well the oil change I can do, no sweat, and I'll see if anything can be done about your door." The car looked like it'd seen better days, so she wasn't making any promises. As she jotted down notes on the invoice sheet, she added with a smirk, "I'm thinking shimmying out through the window's not near as cool-looking as it sounds." As one of the smallest people in the gang, she'd sure as shit done enough of that on jobs years ago.
Shit. If she couldn't do anything about the door then Celia's shit of a fiance was going to swoop in and save the fucking day. "Alright," he said, making sure none of his annoyance showed on his face. After all it wasn't her fault that he was desperate and had absolutely no dignity.
"Haven't tried it, but I'm sure you're right about that." Taehyun had no idea why Celia was still clinging on to the piece of shit. Dave was probably just going to buy her some flashy, over priced car anyways. In one move the jackass would both flaunt his wealth and claim his territory, so to speak. Fucker. "Nice to meet you," he said with a smile. "I'm Taehyun. Just let me know if you can fix the door. If not, just the oil change will be fine."
