Date: May 3, 2011 Characters: Isaac Greenberg, Luke Rafferty Location: Their condo Status: Private Summary: Just a relaxed night in with fast food and herbal soothers. Completion: Incomplete
"Huh?" Luke was zoning out, elbow on the arm of the sofa as he watched the tv screen. He hadn't been smoking, but a contact high was pretty much unavoidable. He didn't mind, though.
Focusing on Isaac's question, he glanced at the little watermark at the corner of the screen, then focused on Detective Benson, who was striding somewhere. "Oh. SVU. It's a rerun, I'm pretty sure, but um, not really sure what's going on either."
"TNT." He determined with a squint. He wasn't sure where he'd put his glasses down last and he'd taken his contacts out ages ago. Pot tried his eyes too much to make wearing them comfortable. "Probably just keep rolling into each other on a recursive Law and Order loop. Law and Order mobius strip....fuck. How was work?"
He hadn't actually asked him yet today he didn't think and he liked to know. Wanted to know about the mundane ins and outs of Luke's life which seemed to make more cohesive sense then his own.
"So it's all technically the same episode playing forever? Which means it'll never, ever end?" Luke frowned and tilted his head at the screen, then shrugged. "Whatever. SVU marathons are like really disturbing comfort food...slash-background noise."
He tipped his head back against the couch cushion. "Busy, mostly. I think it must be finals week, or close to it. Getting lots of overflow from the colleges."
"Well each episode is practically identical, so yeah. And TNT barely show anything else." He stretched one leg until his knee popped then sagged back with a happy sigh. "Yeah, it's biscuits for the brain.
"Do you have to keep telling them that they're paying to use their college library which actually has the stuff they're looking for?" He closed his eyes, easily conjuring up a public librarian who'd scolded him for just that not long ago.
