Charisma was exhausted, but as she sat in her room, unpacking the final box she had left to unpack, she thought about treating herself to a long bubble bath. Two weekends of moving furniture and boxes; two weeks of slowly unpacking everything, even with Maureen and Layla's help, had left her exhausted to the core.
So she was thinking about a long soak, candles, maybe playing Enya when her cell phone rang. She picked it up, smiling when she saw it was Erick. "Hi, Erick," she answered. "How are you?"
Hearing her answer, Erick smiled. "Not bad at all Ms Charisma. Just enjoying a quiet night in the back yard watching the dogs play. How are you doing? All moved in?"
"Sounds relaxing," Charisma said, smiling at the thought. She could imagine it, a cool spring evening out on the porch, maybe a little cuddling, maybe just sitting in companionable silence, lost in thoughts. She was getting ahead of herself, though. "I'm good. Tired, but good. Actually unpacking the very last box right now."
"It is actually and I made me think of calling you." He told her smugly. Erick was impressed that she was down to her last box already. He hated moving and usually relied on movers to get it done. "Wow you're a fast mover then. I tend to procrastinate when it comes to stuff like that."
Knowing now that she was tired he wondered if he should let her go and call another time. "Should I let you go or do you have time to chat?"
