"Baby." He reached over and took Ty's hand, kissing his fingers. "If we don't do this now, while no one's watching you, then how much harder do you think it will be come Friday?" He thought he sounded fairly reasonable, but he'd lay it on thick. "Besides, I've been dying to see which ones you picked. You gonna torture me some more?" He made sad puppy eyes at Ty.

He stole another kiss. "No more torture. I said you could see them today, so let's go before I lose my nerve." Ty knew he'd be okay once he got inside, but it was actually making it inside that was the tough part. He got out of the car and took Alex's hand before they entered the gallery, squeezing it as he scanned the downstairs area.

"So there will definitely be people there who love what you've pulled together." Alex pointed out, kissing Ty back and climbing out of the car.
He took Ty's hand, making sure to enter beside him, rather than drag him in, or be dragged in. They were equals in all things.
Alex looked around, ignoring people and the cafe in favor of scoping out what Ty had put together. He grinned at him. "Congratulations, baby. It looks great."

When she had lived in Berkley, they had gone to all the openings, sometimes just for the drinks but moving to Texas had made her a bit of a hermit. Stopping to admire piece, Madi let her imagination run away with it and smiled.

"Do you know if the pieces are going to be for sale?"

"Actually, I believe he is. I can give you his card if you would like to contact him about them. He will also be around on Saturday for the reception if you would prefer to speak with him in person," she said with a warm smile.

She stepped into the coffee shop with an appreciative sniff. Everything smelled better with coffee.

He hadn't been back to Forty-Two Cups since Tegan's opening, and the place looked nice as ever. He smiled when he noted the title on the poster as he walked in.

She'd changed her shirt--she kept a couple of extras hanging in her truck, if she had to be presentable for somewhere else--but she hoped she wasn't completely dressed wrong for this type of place. Her jeans were still clean, but she wore a worn set of cowboy boots and her clean button up shirt was tucked in, the plaid pattern girlish and pretty, and her hat was still perched on her head until she took it off self consciously as she went into the place. This was not her type of place, usually.
She wandered in, looking around curiously, hoping that this would prove a style fit or something. She really didn't want to work hard to find another person, honestly.
