It was a somewhat dejected Rikku who thumped up to Reno, rolling her shoulder until it cracked back into place.
Not that she wasn't having an awesome anniversary. She was. Two straight days of chocobo racing, playing silly arcade games, and she'd even talked him into going on the gondola rides. But it was the monster-fighting that was the real fun

So far as Reno knew, that's what they were supposed to look like, dammit.

She huffed her exasperation. "I could have had him. I could have gotten at least two or three more of those stardust things."
Reno's world had small, glittery gems that cast Comet. Rikku's world didn't even have that spell. But it was non-elemental and major damage and it would be a freaking sweet compound for explosions. And they were a prize here at the Arena, with a fairly hefty price tag. She was racking up points like crazy to buy more.

It had been decidedly less cute, when it had happened to her three rounds back. This would not stop her from teasing him when he got amphibious.
"You know, we should ask that. If we can do a special two-on-one thing. I mean, they could double up the monster side, too."
Because, really, extra monsters would just be more of a good time.
She leaned up for a quick kiss. "For luck."
