Okay, so Rikku was starting to get a little worried about the ankle-thing

Jude poked his head into the alcove. "Bra? I, uh, have a surprise?"

"Whoa." She grinned. "Okay, that's seriously cool. Uh, sorry. Yeah. I'm ready."

Katara giggled. "No worries. It is seriously cool!"

She closed her eyes for a second, concentrating. The water started to glow a bright white after a moment and Katara put her hand over Rikku's ankle. She could feel where the chi had been disrupted and why the ankle was hurting. She focused, trying to push and pull the blocked chi into place, slowly, slowly coaxing it until she could feel the flow moving well again.

Katara opened her eyes, recollecting the water into a ball. "That should be good. It might still be tender for a day or so, I think. But it's mostly done."

Everything tingled, and almost ... glowed? And then something started swirling a little and ... the squeezing pinch began unravelling itself, in what almost felt like waves.

Rikku opened her eyes and blinked a few times, looking first at Katara and then Jude and then back again. She nodded. "Yeah. I think it's ..."

She tried moving it ... very tentatively, and carefully, but the sharp twinge she expected never materialized. She grinned. "Yeah. Whoa. Thank you. That's awesome."

She beamed back at Rikku. "You're welcome! I'm happy to be able to help." She looked more serious for a second. "Next time? Don't wait two days, okay?"

Rikku blushed, but nodded. "Okay. Yeah. You're right. A-and thanks, again."

And looked over at Jude, sheepishly. "And ... and okay, you were right, too."

Jude squeezed her hand. "I know I was." But he was just relieved that it had worked and she was fixed, whatever way it happened.

He looked at Katara. "Thanks so much, bra. Sorry I kinda dragged you away."

Katara grinned at both of them. "You're totally welcome, both of you. You guys have a good day now."

She waved and moved back towards the door to the alcove, unobtrusively tugging the curtain closed behind her.

Rikku giggled a little and pulled her leg in - slowly - before stretching it out again, flexing her foot in different directions. "Man! I feel like hopping up and doing a jig or something just to see if it'd work." She gave Jude a quick look. "Don't worry, I mean, I'm not gonna. She said it'd take a day or two and ... yeah."

Jude was smiling happily at her. "You really had me worried, bra."

Rikku shrugged, smiling a bit wryly. "I really have had worse, you know. I mean, like, bad things."

"I know," Jude said. "Doesn't mean I can't still be worried over this, right?"

"Right," she said softly, and leaned over for a quick kiss. And realizing she could move again, shifted her ankle off the pillows and snuggled against Jude. "Sorry. I guess I just ... didn't want to make a big deal out of nothing. You know?"

"Exactly, bra. I do exactly the same thing when I get all banged up skating." Jude immediately wrapped his arms around her, ready for some hardcore snuggling.

"You do?" Okay, she was still wriggling in because it had been too long since they could get their serious snuggling on, but she gave him a look. "Dude! Then isn't that kinda ... you being a hypocrite-thing?"

This would have gotten way more of a Look if Rikku hadn't realized that they really hadn't been able to have serious smoochy time with her foot propped up, either, and pulling the front of his shirt in to take care of that situation first.

She was totally gonna give him a look when she came up for air, though.

Jude managed to look sheepish for the whole second and a half before there was serious makeouts going on. And makeouts were far, far better than talking about how he was a great big hypocrite.
