Hey everybody!

Guess what? I think my schedule is beginning to go back to normal ::knocks on wood::. I will hopefully have chapter Four up for Spanish Lullaby this weekend, and then I can get my little cold NY butt into gear for the next chapter for the McT's. And then I can update the family tree!! I'm so excited for this, and that's weird.

Oh man, oh man, oh man.

Not a mother here, know very little about babies and their illnesses but that sounds, as Colton put it, not like any normal flu. Poor Devyn! D: Hoping she doesn't suffer *too* much in the next chapter *crosses fingers*

Anyway, loved the teaser as always! And I can't wait to read whatever comes out next. :) I'm always in awe of your writing, lol.

Is it bad that I find Colton 10x more adorable when he's being a worried Papa? It's just.awww.

Eeeek. As a mother I can already tell this chapter is going to be hard to read.

I'm not a mom, but I'm hoping to convey the type of worry one would have in this situation.

How scary! I've got my fingers crossed everything turns out okay for poor Devyn and her terrified parents. Poor baby...

They're easily shaken, being first-time parents and all. But sometimes hunches turn out to be more accurate than if you'd brushed something off.

I would seriously hope it's not neonatal meningitis which can cause deafness, mental retardation, and death.

Why, is fever a trigger of that?

I thought with the whole sensitivity to light it was most probably meningitis but i'm not a doctor. The most common symptoms of any type of meningitis include a high fever, headache, stiff neck and light sensitivity. Babies with viral meningitis may also be lethargic or irritable. They may also refuse to eat or have stomach problems such as vomiting and diarrhea. Some may have a rash of blotchy skin that appears pale or bluish. Infants may also have trouble breathing and their soft spot on their skull may bulge
