It's the smallest things that can have a great affect on us.

A long, long time ago back when we were having those Julie-in-payroll-is-skipping-work-again-your-check-will-be-late problems S flew out to CA for a day. Our check, being late, meant we were short on cash.

While he was talking with a woman at the airport (she worked at one of the info desks) he mentioned that he wasn't going to be eating until he got home. To Dallas.

She loaned him $20, gave him a business card and said pay it back when you can.

Wow!

Of course, we kept meaning to send her money and of course we kept forgetting, or Julie was late again (this puts EVERYTHING off, BTW), or something got in the way.

Then he was back out in CA again, flying into the same airport. He went by the desk and sure enough the lady was there and she was gobsmacked that he came back to repay her.
