Well, you'll be on the DW filter when I set one up!
The neck is about average (between my computer posture, my normal posture, tension and the whole bit about having one leg shorter than the other, there's usually some knots to get out and some "clicking" to do)
Sorry I didn't see your message on Thursday in time to give you a lift up (you'd have been most welcome).
I hope we'll run into each other before two more years have passed :-)

Well if the neck is average I clearly failed in my Sunday night neck and hair massaging duties. I'm sure somewhere along the line that should have classed as official gophering time lol.
Was very nice to meet lots of new friends, I'm looking forward to 2008 already. Filter adding would be very helpful :)
ooh, neck and hair massage ... yum!the_magicianAugust 30 2006, 10:09:49 UTC
It was wonderful, thank you!
It certainly melted away a lot of the tension and stress at the end of another long day ... if you live/lived close enough I'd seriously consider hiring you on a permanent basis!
... of course I then had two more days of dashing around, getting too little sleep, not always eating the right food and shunting heavy boxes and equipment around (plus a *fast* car ride down to Heathrow to drop American fan Kate L off in time for her flight) so the tension came back, and now I'm sitting at my desk at work trying to remember to stretch often enough, sit up straight and not hunch my shoulders while typing (I have a "natural" keyboard at home, I may have to investigate getting one for work ... I do have wrist rests for both the keyboard and mouse and a small platform to life the monitor to a more sensible position)
*pokes* 'tis Archer, you know, the one that said she'd stay in touch last time and forgot? Well, brain not so addled by alcohol this time so, hah! DWCon LJ stalking has begun!
Lovely seeing you at the con and I hope I can convince you to be part of the programme team for the next DWCon (if I can recruit a few good people ahead of time and we can sort out what needs doing, then we can all do shorter shifts at the con and have more time to just go enjoy ourselves!)
Plus you might be able to explain to them how food *should* be prepared :-)
Your name came up ...the_magicianAugust 30 2006, 10:16:02 UTC
... yesterday in some email or other (in a very positive way!) so I'll have to go back and see what was said :-)
And if I think of any suggestions ... well, if I don't, feel free to volunteer some of your own!
maybe I should just muscle my way into a chefing job at the Hinckley ;) Sounds like a great idea, after all it doesn't seem like it will take more than 10 minutes a day (given the amount of thought that seems to have been put in this time ;-) )
