Well, the onsen really was his favorite place to be. For one, this was one place where he surely could avoid meeting his half-brother. Unlike the other yatagarasu, Benten loved taking long soaks in the baths. It might be due to his half serpent heritage.

Hot springs weren't one of his favourite place, namely because he couldn't see when his glasses kept fogging up. But for Berwald, it was a welcomed place, having lived around snow, snow and more snow for most of his life.

The Swede slowly entered the water, taking off his glasses to wipe them when he noticed a light-gold blur a few feet away. Curious, he went over and asked, "All al'ne?"

"All, what?" Benten frowned, taking a sip of his sake. And here he was, thinking that he could actually have some time alone. Ah well, plenty of space around for company. If the man was decent, Benten might even enjoy some vapid conversations. He owned a bar after all. He was good at those.

"Alone," Berwald repeated slowly, putting on his glasses again and frowning when they started to fog up again. But he managed to notice the other person's features before his vision went cloudy, and he kept his distance; he was a gentleman, and gentlemen never touch ladies inappropriately.

Even then, he had to comment on the other's beauty. "Y're pr'tty."

Benten smiled. Smile and pacify the drunk. Until they got touchy-feely anyway, then it was good reason to throw them out of the window of his bar on the second floor, right above the boutique his friend owned.

"I've been told that," he replied smoothly. "A drink?"
