For most of the past few weeks, Kia had been with the same frustrating redhead who always happened to cross his path. And while Ran was nice, variety was the spice of life...or something like that. It was safe to assume by now that there wasn't an exit (after all he had been told there wasn't anyway), and that factor just made Sonic a wee bit stir-crazy. Only because he'd been down this same hallway more times than he could count.

It was time to find something else to do, at least for a distraction.

For some reason Kia caught his eye. Hey, the guy was a sharp dresser. Someone who looked that cool had to be worth talking to, right? "Hey, that's one cool outfit you're wearin'!"

The clothes were a military uniform, nothing more. Kia only wore them because he couldn't think of anything else he'd feel comfortable in here and the hotel wasn't playing dress-up games.

When he heard a voice, he turned around and flashed his usual grin at the unfamiliar face. "It's my uniform. There's nothing really special about it."

"I work for the military. I doubt they have fashion or taste in mind when they design these things." Kia never made sure his clothes were neat unless he was actively doing something for them anyway. "And the goggles are for when I'm out riding my bike."

This kid seemed like the type who could ask him questions all day.
