Once upon a December / Birthday / No aphro

Dec 14, 2011 16:54

It was a cold, quiet December morning when Sebastian woke up in his room and found a small letter on his desk. Outside his windows, white snow and frost were collected on the glass pane. The letter were written in gold and the parchment is cerulean blue. The letter told him that today is Ciel's birthday and it would be a honor if he goes to the ( Read more... )

Place holder since I do have to run :3 lttlelordbrat December 14 2011, 22:12:13 UTC
Wolfram blinked as his cat ears perked. There was someone he hadn't seen in quite some time. "Sebastian? Is that you?"

The cake is in the heated oven, baking the mixture he already set up. The elder demon was turning the timer until it stops with a click and then placed the timer on the counter. It would be an hour before the homemade cake would be ready.

Sebastian was ready to set his mind on the other tasks when the blonde showed. "Oh, hello Wolfram."

"I thought this place sent you home..." Ears still perked, he couldn't help but purr softly.

Sebastian halted his movements to scratch one of his ears affectionately, and then resumes going back to work, which is making a ginger bread house for the decoration.

"I wish it would." He said softly. If anything, Sebastian wouldn't do this without a special summons, but the Hotel summoned him and paid him with a soul. While the soul he ate this morninig is a meager sacrifice, it would just do. The elder demon was hungry after all.

She had been stuck in Sebastian’s world since waking up one morning in a guest bedroom in the estate. The butler had been transformed and placed in a cat kennel across the room and after releasing him, she had made the best of things ( ... )

Sebastian felt her presence. He then looked up, and nodded in her direction welcoming her in his kitchen. He said a soft mental, 'Good morning' in return. Asha is one of the rare friends he respected. He appreciate her skills in the kitchen as they worked together in silence.

The dried fruits she prepared was added into the cake and the aroma of the bread was raised in the air. While she didn't ask what she is assisting him with, so it's in her best interest that he lets her know. He pulled out his pocket a picture of a blue-haired boy with blue eyes. "Today is his birthday." He said quietly, and the way he spoke, he appreciates her helping him out. "He came from my world. I can say I was his Guardian a long time ago. His name is Ciel which is a French word for sky."

Technically, Ciel in his world is supposed to be dead, but in this world, against all possibilities, even dead people can come to life.

Pausing in the preparations, emerald green eyes assessed the picture. 'Joyeux Anniversaire [Happy Birthday]. It is good that you found this boy. You have needed one from your own story to care for, yes?'

A pause as she considers, and her eyes return to her task quiet for a time, flouring the cake pans. 'Elgar'arla, this asha is not from your story...she is a haf-cath [summer cat] come to visit...one who may disappear in the changing of a season.'

ooc: Happy Birthday to you, too!

"Actually, I haven't found him yet. Maybe in this hotel, he'll find me." He puts the picture back in his pocket.

There's a long silence, as if a part of him can't look at her. "Not necessarily. In my story, he already died. But in this place, somehow, it can pull the deceased back to life. The Hotel asked me to make a birthday party for him."

"I know that. That's why with me being here, it's a joke. I'm not suppose to be here. I'm supposed to be home where the demons and fallen angels like myself dwell." More silence. "Still, I'm glad to see you, my old friend. Summer cats are wanderers, that I know too well."

OOC: Thank you~ *_* <3

Misa wore a very lovely looking apron. "I did." He answered. Her smile is infectious and he can't help, but to smile back just a little.

The collection of food and cakes is becoming more than necessary and some of the passing residents who knew of the event had stopped by to pick a few sweets. They remarked how delicious the food is. Sebastian knows he has a knack to make his cooking taste so divine.

Sebastian pulled out a Victorian style handkerchief. "Ah, Misa, come here. Your face is a mess."

[OOC: Your tag made me smile, thank you. (And I'm happy that the other taggers above tagged me too). I feel so down in despair from unemployment (and among other things for the past months), which is why I disappeared and unable to continue any dropped threads I had. I'm despairing on my 24th birthday sheesh. I think to myself that this too shall pass.]

The soul that he ate this morning made him feel a little strange. When he eats a soul, he becomes that soul. He would be what he eats. While it's not a drastic change, it was significant. He'll be hungry again, but who knows for how long ( ... )

Ritsuka gave an eyeing glance to Sebastian as he walked into the vast kitchen, those velveteen ears perking and twitching at the various sounds of cooking. It all smelled and looked wonderful, two facts that made the dark haired youth linger instead of simply taking what he came for and leaving.

While not outright staring, he was throwing looks to what crowded the counter tops and obviously sniffing at the air, that little nose wiggling slightly.

Sebastian was at the counter, using a knife to peel a sweet potato. He's going to use the sweet potato to bake into a pie. He peered over at the curious boy with the cat ears and tail. "Hello." He said. He is always friendly to any cat boys or cat girls. Sebastian is always fond of the feline types. "If you like something, feel free to help yourself."

While a tempting offer, the boy was hesitant to pick off any of the plates or platters. Still, he did wander closer, enough to curl his fingers against the edge of the tiled counter and get a better look, offering a less fleeting glance to the man.

"What's all this for?"

Observing the boy and noticed he was hesitant, "They're aphrodisiac free, so you can eat them without feeling aroused." He said. "I'm preparing a birthday party for a friend that I cared for a lot."

Sebastian has no intention of taking advantage or ravishing him, even though it might be a part of his interest and demonic nature that he would. Besides, the boy is too adorable and he rather like that curious and innocent look to stay.

Although the hotel supplied the most delectable of goodies, Usagi had gotten an itch to bake. It wasn't her forte, despite loving the outcome so very much, but there the golden girl was, dappled in flour and stirring a much too large bowl with a determined poking out of her tongue. The kitchen was an absolute mess too, at least in the little area she'd taken up for her task, with various tubes of frosting and half spilled boxes.

No, cooking was most definitely not something the young woman was good at, but her energy was admirable.

The girl with the long blonde hair caught his eye. She gave off a strange energy in her aura and the demon noticed she is quite strange, but he can't place it (where, what, it felt ethereal and glowing and white in purity). The way she tries to bake is clumsy (by his perfectionist standards), but she reminded him of a servant named Finny, who used to serve the Phantomhive household long ago.

The kitchen was a mess, but it gave the demon a purpose. He'll clean it up later. "Good morning." He said, trying to be friendly as well as curious. "Are you in a festive spirit?"

By most any standards, her technique was terribly fumbled and sloppy. The blonde's more adept friend practically cried every time.

Bright blue eyes blinking up at him, her stirring motions slowed, a faint pink dusting her cheeks. Festive was an understatement. Green and red icing, edible holly leaves and bright berries -- she was in the Christmas spirit alright. Too bad it probably wouldn't be turning out like the picture in the book.

"Very much," she chirped with the faintest of giggles, that blush growing.
