There was nothing that would show that something was off in the room as Lacie sat on the couch swinging her legs. She'd stayed in since last night and hadn't eaten much. She just didn't feel up to it and she was beginning to realize why. All she had to do now was wait for Jack to return.

Jack sighed as he trudged into the bedroom, looking absolutely exhausted. He hadn't even noticed Lacie as he flopped onto the bed. He wanted a nap...so badly...

Lacie cocked her head at the odd state of Jack and slowly pushed herself off the couch and waddled over to him. She was for now ignoring the small twinges of pain that were coming closer and closer together.

"Jack, what has gotten you so exhausted?"

"It's nothing...honest..." He just had to get some sleep...

She crawled up on the bed and laid next to him.
