In one of the Hotel's long corridors, a rather tiny, small-boned boy is tip toeing close to the walls. Slinking and fluid, even graceful, in his movements. A pair of triangle shaped ears stand upright in his hair, keeping focused for the most part ahead of himself, but every now and then, they rove toward noises he can hear coming from the bedrooms ( Read more... )

Sebastian can safely say that the absolute last thing he had ever expected to see--even here--was Ciel Phantomhive with cat ears and a tail bursting into his room to hide under his bed. For a moment the demon isn't even sure if it had been real, or if it was just the hotel playing tricks on him. There he'd been, lounging in bed reading--he had all too much free time here with no young master to serve--and minding his own business when the door had flown open and a very familiar boy had ducked beneath the mattress with remarkable speed; but not so fast that Sebastian had failed to notice certain features which were not at all native to his own master ( ... )

[ooc: Happily! *u* I tend to assume this Ciel's 'human life' ended somewhere close, if not right at, the end of Circus Arc. If knowing helps at all!]

Startled felines do not always have the best judgement, their minds tend to lock themselves into a state of flight or fight. They're geared and equipped for survival, and some of the most resilient creatures in the animal kingdom. If Ciel had been thinking more clearly, he would have realized much more quickly--more quickly than Sebastian having to bring himself for the boy-cat to see--that this is Sebastian's claimed room. He would have, should be able, to depict the scent that separated Sebastian from not only other people, but other things, quite effortlessly ( ... )

[ooc: That does actually help! Thank you.]"Indeed they are," agrees Sebastian as he pulls Ciel gently forward, careful to make sure that he's entirely out from under the bed before he helps him to stand; he doesn't want him to hit his head, after all. "Which is why I am so surprised to see you, my lord." Now 'catty' is a word that Sebastian might normally use to describe his young master--but he would never mean it quite so literally as now. He'd always thought of Ciel as rather feline, despite his title of 'Queen's guard dog.' The boy was finicky, delicate, anti-social, and very, very proud--all very catlike traits. But this? This was something else entirely ( ... )

Ciel stands before him, tail dropped behind his legs and waving to and fro slightly, as the boy surveys the room silently. Rather quick to take in where furniture is placed for later, committing the layout to memory. The more he was aware of rooms in the Hotel, where things were placed, the easier it was for him to manage hiding places. For the hellish servant standing before him, that can't have been a difficult mystery to figure out--a child with his past, in a place like this, would of course be swift to figure out temporary exists from danger. He gets dropped into the Hotel from time to time, and he's still managed to remain untouched ( ... )

Up for some CR? :) misamisal2 November 21 2011, 18:23:35 UTC
The opening of her door has Misa surprised. When she peeks out of her kitchen, thinking L is back, she sees a small figure darting under the bed. This was obviously not L.

Walking quietly into her room, Misa slowly kneels down and peeks under the bed, surprised to see a familiar face.

"Ciel?"

[ooc: :( I'm sorry! I misread what you typed.]

Ciel is equally surprised to see hers, though because of unfamiliarity. Those little cat ears atop his head press into his hair, doubtfully.

"Who are you?" The suspicion might make his voice sound harder than he intends to be, but one can never be too careful, especially in this place.

"I'm Misa, dear. It's okay, you can come out. You're safe here."

Standing up, Misa shuts and locks the door. After all, he must have been scared by something. She didn't want anyone back bursting in and trying to hurt him.

"I met another version of you before. I thought you might be him and that the hotel had put cat years on you, but you must be a different one."

Turning around, she gets on the floor once more to peer under the bed with a soft, friendly smile.

"You must have been frightened. Don't worry, if anyone tries to come in here for you, I'll taker care of them."

((ooc: That's okay! :) Also, I read that doujin and it was AWESOME. :3 ))

[ooc: Haha! Yeah, I liked it! I haven't read it in a while so I'm probably slipping up mixing up this AU-Ciel with canon-Ciel, but I hope not too badly!]

It takes the boy a couple of moments, but then cautiously he brings his head from under the bed. The motion is extremely cat-like, because he doesn't crawl out entirely just yet, instead he peers around her room intently, studying it. Ears flicking to any noise of interest, even ones she may not be able to hear herself.

Then, slowly, steadily, he shimmies out from beneath his make-shift hiding place. Sighing, quietly flustered, he moves to stand and brushes at his clothing. "I see. I suppose that's part of the trouble with so many different versions of ourselves running about."

He looks up at her. "Thank you, miss Misa."

Another feline present in the Hotel is getting in a nice nap, not realizing he accidentally left the door open. Then again, one wouldn't expect much hassle from anybody should they happen upon him, curled up on the bed as he was. But the scent of another cat so nearby has caught his attention and pulled Frank out of his casual slumber.

Following a good yawn and stretch he goes to the edge of the bed to peer under it.

Hey kid, you ok?

[ooc: (: Another kitty! I'll leave it up to you, if you want your cat to see Ciel as a boy or as he really is--that little back, one-good-eyed kitten, with a stupidly big bow around it's neck.]

It's more the scent of him, another cat in the room with him, that startles Ciel--causes him to flinch--than it is actually hearing him. His face twitches immediately upward to stare back at him, black pupil trying to engulf his entire blue iris. His tail puffed and whacking itself against the carpet.

"Wh-- Another cat?"

[I couldn't resist. Oh man, decisions... I'll take the kitten, if that's all right with you.]

Only half the time, if we're gonna get technical. Wow, this one's really agitated. Frank opts to back away and resume lounging on his bed. If Ciel wanted to calm down and come out, then he would.

You rather I not be?

[Perfectly! Forgive my lack of kitten!Ciel icons, in the mean time.]

Don't cats tend to be some of the most melodramatic creatures about things? There's a chance he could stay under there for only a few minutes or hours all because of a door opening and that's it. Though, yes, he isn't quite ready to come out--his heart is still trying to fight its way through his little chest.

Frank doesn't receive the quickest reply either, because the kitten is too busy settling in place, curling his tail around himself, and licking his whiskers.

"No, I much prefer it. I've never come across any others, until now; you." A beat. "What do you mean 'only half the time'?"
